Usage

2'-Fucosyllactose (2'-FL) is a type of human milk oligosaccharide (HMO) that is naturally found in breast milk. It is a complex carbohydrate that cannot be digested by infants, but it plays an important role in promoting the growth and development of beneficial gut bacteria, as well as supporting the immune system.

The benefits of 2'-FL include:

1.    Prebiotic effects: 2'-FL promotes the growth of beneficial gut bacteria, such as Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus, while inhibiting the growth of harmful bacteria. This helps to support a healthy digestive system and immune function.

2.    Anti-inflammatory effects: 2'-FL has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, which may help to reduce inflammation and support overall health.

3.    Immune system support: 2'-FL supports the development and function of the immune system, including the production of antibodies and the activation of immune cells.

4.    Cognitive development: Studies have shown that infants who consume breast milk containing 2'-FL have better cognitive development and may have a lower risk of developmental delays.

5.    Reduced risk of infections: Infants who consume breast milk containing 2'-FL have a lower risk of infections, including respiratory infections and diarrhea.

Overall, 2'-FL is a beneficial component of breast milk that supports the growth and development of infants and provides important health benefits. It is now being added to infant formula and other products as a way to provide similar benefits to infants who are not able to consume breast milk.

Usage The application of Fusidic acid: Fusidic acid is primarily used as an antibiotic to treat bacterial infections. It is commonly applied topically, as a Fusidic acid cream or Fusidic acid ointment, to treat skin infections such as impetigo, infected cuts or wounds, and infected eczema. In some cases, it may also be prescribed orally or intravenously to treat systemic infections, particularly those caused by Staphylococcus aureus, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Additionally, fusidic acid has been used in combination with other medications for the treatment of various infections. For example, it may be combined with corticosteroids to treat inflammatory skin conditions or with hydrocortisone to treat otitis externa (outer ear infections). Fusidic acid works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, specifically targeting the ribosomes within bacterial cells. This mechanism of action makes it effective against a wide range of bacteria, particularly Staphylococcus species. However, it is important to use fusidic acid judiciously to prevent the development of antibiotic resistance. *Products under the patent are only for R&D use
