Usage |
What is Trilostane?
Trilostane is primarily used in veterinary medicine to treat Cushing's syndrome (hyperadrenocorticism) in dogs.Trilostane works by inhibiting an enzyme called 3-beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase, which is involved in the production of cortisol. By blocking this enzyme, Trilostane helps reduce the production of cortisol, alleviating the symptoms associated with Cushing's syndrome in dogs.
